O drama médico americano The Pitt e a comédia Hacks lideram as indicações ao Emmy deste ano, a mais cobiçada premiação da televisão americana.
The Pitt recebeu 25 indicações no total, seguido de perto pela temporada final de Hacks, com 24.
Entre os astros britânicos indicados estão Matthew Rhys – o único ator a receber duas indicações a Melhor Ator (por Widow’s Bay e The Beast In Me). Também concorrem os compatriotas Riz Ahmed (Bait), Carey Mulligan (Beef), Gary Oldman (Slow Horses) e Rufus Sewell (The Diplomat).
No entanto, as temporadas finais das séries de sucesso Stranger Things e Euphoria não figuraram na lista de indicados a Melhor Série Dramática da 78ª edição do Emmy.
Todas as sete indicações de Stranger Things foram em categorias técnicas, enquanto Zendaya é a única integrante do elenco estelar de Euphoria a figurar nas principais categorias de atuação.
Outra série de sucesso que acaba de chegar ao fim, The Bear, entrou na lista de melhor comédia, mas seu astro, Jeremy Allen White, foi esnobado apesar de ter ganhado o Emmy de melhor ator em série de comédia em 2024 e 2025.
Os vencedores serão anunciados em uma cerimônia em Los Angeles no dia 14 de setembro.
